BrandOps Help

AI Assistant for D2C Brands

Get instant operational briefings, content ideas, and creator insights — all based on your brand's live data. No generic advice. No filler. Just the specific actions your business needs right now.

Opening the AI assistant

The AI assistant is available on every page of your BrandOps dashboard. Look for the sparkles button (✨) fixed to the bottom-right corner of the screen. Click it to slide open the panel. Click again — or press the X in the panel header — to close it without losing your conversation.

The panel works on mobile too. On small screens it overlays the full screen; on desktop it slides in as a 400px side panel without covering your dashboard content.

Quick actions

When you first open the panel, you'll see eight quick-action cards. Each one runs a pre-built prompt against your live brand data and streams back a specific, actionable response.

Today's briefing

A 150-word daily summary covering four things: revenue momentum (growth or decline), the most urgent pipeline issue, any customer problem needing action today, and one quick win you can execute in the next hour. Start every morning with this.

What needs attention?

Reviews your operational and content data and surfaces the 2–3 most urgent issues ranked by business impact. Each alert includes the problem, why it matters (revenue, customer experience, or operational risk), and the single action to take. Only flags real problems — not a list of things that are fine.

Content ideas

Generates five specific content piece ideas for your Instagram. Each idea includes a concept angle (not just "product demo"), the recommended format (Reel, Carousel, or Story) with a reason for the format choice, and the first line of the hook or caption. Ideas are specific to your actual product category.

Viral hooks

Six scroll-stopping hook ideas for Instagram Reels — written for the first 1–2 seconds of a video. Each uses a proven framework: curiosity gap, POV, transformation, social proof, counter-intuitive, or problem-agitate. Written for your specific product niche, not generic D2C content.

Write a caption

Three Instagram caption variations for a product post. Each opens with a hook line (not the product name), stays under 120 words, and ends with a creative call-to-action. Written to sound like a real person, not a marketing department. Uses 1–2 emojis max.

Creator insights

Analyses your active creator programme and gives three specific recommendations: whether your current activation rate is healthy, one action to improve creator performance this week, and the type of creator to prioritise for your next outreach round (tier, niche, posting style). Based on your actual numbers.

Ops review

A 200-word operational health check covering fulfilment health, customer issue backlog, return situation, and pipeline status. Ends with the single highest-leverage thing to fix this week. Leads with what's most urgent — not what looks good.

Workflow tips

Identifies three workflow inefficiencies from your operational metrics. For each bottleneck it suggests a specific process change (not a tool recommendation) and estimates the weekly time saved or conversion impact. Based on what the data actually shows.

Free-form chat

Type any question in the input box and press Enter (or click Send). The AI reads your live brand context before every response — revenue, orders, creator performance, content metrics — so answers are specific to your brand, not generic advice.

Use Shift+Enter to add a new line in your message. The AI remembers up to 12 messages within a conversation. Click the reset button (↺) in the panel header to start a fresh conversation at any time.

Example questions to ask:

  • • "Why is my return rate spiking this week?"
  • • "Which creators should I re-activate for the next campaign?"
  • • "Write a Reel hook for our new face serum launch"
  • • "How do I reduce packing time in my fulfilment workflow?"
  • • "Is ₹45,000 ad spend on this campaign delivering good ROI?"

How the AI uses your data

Every time you send a message or trigger a quick action, the AI reads a live snapshot of your brand — revenue this month vs. last month, today's order count, pipeline breakdown, fulfilment rate, return rate, top creators, recent content performance, and open customer issues. This snapshot is sent alongside your message so the AI always answers based on current reality, not stale information.

The AI never stores your data externally. The context is assembled fresh from your database on each request and sent directly to the AI model. No conversation history is persisted after you close the panel.

Streaming responses

Responses stream word-by-word as they're generated — you don't wait for the full answer before reading starts. A blinking cursor shows the response is still generating. To stop a response mid-stream, click the stop button (square icon) that replaces the send button during generation.

Rate limits

To prevent runaway usage, the assistant limits to 30 chat messages and 20 quick-action generations per minute per account. If you hit a limit, the panel shows how many seconds until it resets. Normal usage won't trigger these limits.

Setup requirements

The AI assistant requires an Anthropic API key set in your environment as ANTHROPIC_API_KEY. If the key is missing, the assistant shows a setup message with instructions. Contact your account administrator or BrandOps support if you need help configuring this.

Frequently asked questions

Does the AI use my actual brand data or generic advice?

The AI reads live data from your BrandOps account before every response — revenue, orders, creator performance, content metrics. It never gives generic advice that ignores your numbers.

Can I use the AI on mobile?

Yes. On mobile the panel overlays the full screen with a backdrop that can be tapped to dismiss. All quick actions and the chat input work the same way on mobile.

How do I get caption ideas for a specific product?

Use the 'Write a caption' quick action for general captions based on your brand context. For a specific product, just describe it in the chat: 'Write a caption for our new mango-scented body butter targeting 18–24 year olds.'

Does the AI remember my previous conversations?

The AI remembers messages within the current panel session (up to 12 messages). When you close the panel or click the reset button, the conversation history is cleared. There is no persistent memory across sessions.

What AI model powers the assistant?

BrandOps uses Claude by Anthropic — specifically claude-sonnet-4-6, which balances speed and quality for operational recommendations and creative content generation.

Can I stop a response that's generating?

Yes. While a response is streaming, the send button turns into a stop button (square icon). Click it to cancel the current generation immediately.
